Camping at the Durango RV Resort in Red Bluff, California

Day 4 of our trip;

RED BLUFF... The River Runs Through It

If Northern Sacramento Valley were a bottle, Red Bluff's the water — situated at the center of this lush, orchard-laced county. Famous for its historic old town situated on the Sacramento River since the late 1800s, Red Bluff still shows its charms as an early mining town, with historic buildings and relaxed ambiance.

Red Bluff's quaint main street encompasses only a few blocks, but there's a definite buzz about it. Browse through its bookshops, antique stores, historic landmarks and restaurants. Then, spend time relaxing on a bluff overlooking the Sacramento River. You can even book your visit to coincide with the Red Bluff Rodeo or the Red Bluff Bull & Gelding Sale. From Durango, you can pedal your bike into town, or just hoof it — it's only a short stroll.

And, of course, the whole, wonderful Northern Sacramento Valley is at your fingertips. Visit Redding or the cool college town of Chico, both just 30-40 minutes away. Gracious mountains (Mt. Shasta & Mt. Lassen) and wonderful mountain lakes surround this majestic part of Northern California. For the angler, the Lower Sacramento River between Red Bluff and Lake Shasta is considered one of the finest wild rainbow trout fisheries on the west coast, flowing right through the city of Red Bluff. Great fishing or just plain exploring.

Fishing, running waters, a happening town... Red Bluff's a perfect place to relax and unwind.

Checking in, This Resort looks very nice. Everything is clean and shinny, not a single thing out of place.

So far the staff is extremely nice, they escorted us to our site, asked us if we needed any help and asked us if we wanted our RV washed for a fee. $2.00 a ft. If we wouldn't have just had it washed it, we would have had it done. It was a good price.

We decided to take the dogs for a walk right away to stretch their legs and to get our barings in the park. We took some pictures so you can see what it looks like.

There is a nice fishing lake here. I love the sound of a babbling brook. To my surprise I can even hear it with my hearing loss... :)

We saw a man fly fishing. My dad would have loved it here. The serenity of it all, the fishing, the lake.. My Dads dream retirement.

Here's hubby doing what boys do when they go camping, thank God they do it because I was spoiled, I won't do it. If there is an emergency I will but I won't tell him that... shhhhh!!!!!

Now this is what we do best, RELAX!!

It is so nice here, we are thinking of staying longer than the one day we originally planned. :)
